Harold is a fine all-round athlete at Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. He excels at track and wrestling. In fact, it was while in his freshman year at Shortridge that Harold became interested in working out with weights. Prior to Harold's high school career, we find that he was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on Christmas Day eighteen years ago, and as if the date were to be symbolic, the boy seemed to be endowed with physical greatness from the start. When Harold was thirteen, his family moved to Indianapolis. It was there he became interested in athletics, particularly the sports of football, wrestling, boxing and track. As a freshman at Shortridge, his track coach, Roy Aberson, long an advocate of weight training for athletes, recommended weight training to him as a supplement to his regular exercises. In the following four years, Harold was to put on forty pounds of hard muscle and to better his athletic performances in all sports.

Harold is still training hard. He lives in Florida now and, along with hitting the weights, he continues his long-standing practice of the Martial Arts - with a primary focus on TaeKwon-Do.

The February 2009 Issue of Flex Magazine contains a feature article called "Teen Titans – The 15 Best Teenage Bodybuilders Of All Time". Harold Poole topped the list at number one of all time.
Among other amazing achievements as a teenager, Harold placed second in the AAU Mr. America before leaving high school and won the IFBB Universe at age nineteen.
